SALT LAKE CITY (AP) The Utah Jazz selected Tennessee forward Jarnell Stokes with the 35th pick in the NBA draft on Thursday night, then dealt him to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Memphis sends the Jazz a second-round pick in the 2016 draft in exchange for Stokes, a 6-foot-8, 260-pound post player who averaged 15.1 points and 10.6 rebounds as a junior last season and collected nearly four offensive rebounds a game.

He also set a Tennessee school record with 392 rebounds and was named to the All-SEC First Team. He had 22 double-doubles.

A member of the gold medal-winning U19 USA Men's Junior National Team, Stokes participated in the NBA combine but then missed a lot of pre-draft visits due to a car accident that gave him a concession. One of his few workouts was in Utah.
