Sacramento Kings restricted free agent Isaiah Thomas is most interested in signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks or Phoenix Suns, Thomas told SLAM magazine.

The point guard named the three teams as the favorites to land him among those that have shown him the most interest thus far during free agency, a group which also includes the Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons, Thomas said.

While the Kings haven't ruled out re-signing Thomas, Sacramento signed fellow point guard Darren Collison to a three-year deal last week, which casts doubt on the Kings' interest in retaining Thomas.

More from Thomas:

"I just want to be wanted. I don’t know if [the Kings] really want me like other teams do. Like I said, since day one I just want to be wanted. I know there’s a few teams out there that’s showing a lot of interest. I’m just waiting to see what’s the best fit for me. At the end of the day it’s a business and you’ve got to do what’s best for yourself."

Thomas averaged 20.3 points and 6.3 assists per game last year in his third season in the NBA. Both figures were career highs.

Since Thomas is a restricted free agent, the Kings would have 72 hours to match an offer sheet from another team.
