Kevin Seraphin has signed the $3.9 million qualifying offer the Washington Wizards extended him, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. Seraphin will be in Washington for another year before becoming an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Seraphin saw his minutes decline dramatically last season. After averaging more than 20 minutes per game in 2011-12 and '12-13, Seraphin played just 10.9 minutes per game last year, appearing in only 53 games. He played just six total minutes in the playoffs. For the season, he averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

MAHONEY: Best remaining free agents

Seraphin will be returning to a crowded frontcourt. This offseason, the Wizards have re-signed center Marcin Gortat to a $60 million deal, signed forward Kris Humphries, acquired forward DeJuan Blair, re-signed forward Drew Gooden and acquired forward Paul Pierce, who can play power forward in smaller lineups. Nene also remains as an incumbent starter.
