Free agent guard Dahntay Jones is expected to work out for the New York Knicks this week, reports the New York Daily News’ Frank Isola

Jones, 33, sat out last season because of injury and last played during the 2012-13 season with the Dallas Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks.

According to the report, Jones is supposed to work out with the Philadelphia 76ers but would prefer to land a contract with the Knicks, reuniting him with Carmelo Anthony, his former teammate in Denver.

The Knicks are also reportedly exploring trade options for guards J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Shane Larkin.
