Jerryd Bayless signs with Milwaukee Bucks

Free agent guard Jerryd Bayless has signed a contract with the Milwaukee Bucksgeneral manager John Hammond announced Thursday.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Bayless, 25, averaged 9.3 points and 2.7 assists in 72 games last season with the Memphis Grizzlies and the Boston Celtics.

A first-round pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, Bayless has also had stints with the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors.

He has averaged 8.5 points, 2.9 assists and 1.9 rebounds over six seasons.

The Bucks won an NBA-low 15 games last season.

Earlier in July, the team hired Jason Kidd as head coach to replace Larry Drew, who was fired.
