San Antonio Spurs forward Boris Diaw has been cleared to play for France in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
Diaw had to sit out France's previous exhibition games because of insurance issues surrounding the forward, who re-signed with the Spurs this offseason on a three-year, $22.5 million contract.
Team France technical director Patrick Beesley said the situation has been resolved.
Diaw is the team's captain. Other NBA players on the French roster include Nicholas Batum, Evan Fournier, Rudy Gobert, Nando de Colo and Ian Mahinmi. Diaw's Spurs teammate Tony Parker is resting this summer and will not play for France.
