The 36-year-old played eight seasons with the Mavericks, and won the 2011 title with them. He was the Sixth Man of the Year in 2009 and has career averages of 15.4 points and 4.4 assists per game. He's also a 37.9 percent three-pointer shooter.

Terry, who averaged only 4.5 points per game in 35 games for Brooklyn last season, joined the Nets after a season in Boston, and he spent his first five seasons with the Hawks. Brooklyn traded him to Sacramento in February, but he never played for the Kings due to a knee injury.

He is in the final year of a contract that will pay him $5.85 million this season.
