USA Basketball guard Derrick Rose said that his role at the FIBA World Cup in Spain has nothing to do with his role with the Chicago Bulls.

Rose is taking only 6.2 shots a game and shooting 21 percent during the FIBA World Cup in Spain. He is averaging 4.5 points and 2.7 assists in 17.5 minutes per contest.

"Everybody is getting mad because I’m not shooting the ball more. That’s strange. This role doesn't affect my role with the Bulls,” Rose said, according to the Chicago Tribune. "When I came back the first time, I didn’t look right forcing anything. It was the same thing, like, ‘Why aren’t you making shots?’"
