Anthony Davis injures finger in win over Heat

Anthony Davis injured his left index finger in the Pelicans' preseason opener on Saturday vs. the Heat but X-rays were negative, according to Jim Eichenhofer of NBA.com.
The 21-year-old All-Star injured it in the first half of the 98-86 win at home. He was cleared to return in the second half but did not play. Anthony finished with five points, four rebounds and three blocks.

The Pelicans unveiled their newly designed court on Saturday at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Their regular season begins Oct. 28 on the new court with a game against the Magic.
