Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders will miss the rest of the preseason after undergoing a "minor outpatient surgical procedure" on Friday, the team announced.

Sanders is expected to be ready for Milwaukee's Oct. 29 regular season opener at Charlotte.

Sanders averaged 7.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks last season after signing a four-year contract extension reportedly worth $44 million in August 2013.

Injuries limited the 25-year-old to only 28 games. Sanders tore a ligament in his thumb during an altercation at a Milwaukee night club and suffered a fractured right orbital bone.

Sanders posted averages of 10.7 points and 10.0 rebounds over three preseason games.
