Former NFL player Domonique Foxworth will be named the NBA players' union's chief operating officer, Scott Soshnick of Bloomberg News reports.
Foxworth, who was the president of the NFL Players Association from 2012 to 2014, was also a candidate to become the executive director of the National Basketball Players Association. Michele Roberts was hired to that position in July.
Foxworth, who is in his final year of studying at the Harvard Business School, will take office in January, Soshnick reports.
From 2005 to 2011, Foxworth played for the Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens.
