Hornets make hard commitment to guard Kemba Walker despite his flaws

With a little under four minutes remaining in the third quarter and Milwaukee leading 76-57, Stephenson drove down the middle of the paint with eyes on the rim. After a brief hesitation dribble, Stephenson decided on the straightforward approach, launching himself up and over the shot-blocking specialist to throw down a one-handed slam.

Charlotte signed Stephenson to a three-year contract worth $27 million this summer, poaching him from Indiana, where he made back-to-back trips to the Eastern Conference finals.

Sanders, who missed much of last year with injuries to his thumb and face, returned to the lineup in the season opener after serving a five-game drug suspension at the end of the 2013-14 season.
