Video: Raptors' DeMar DeRozan hits spinning circus shot in blowout win

Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan hit a spinning circus shot during Toronto's 120-88 blowout victory over Philadelphia at home on Sunday.

With Toronto holding a 21-point lead midway through the third quarter, DeRozan attacked the hoop from the left corner along the baseline. As he approached the basket area, DeRozan ran into Henry Sims and attempted to spin in the air to avoid the contesting effort. DeRozan's contact with Sims halted his momentum. Rather than continue forward with a layup try, DeRozan completed the 360 degree spin before tossing up a leaning, double-clutch shot over Sims. The high-difficulty attempt rattled home as DeRozan crashed to the court.

The Raptors got out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and made light work of the winless Sixers. DeRozan finished with a game-high 24 points (on 8-of-12 shooting) and six rebounds in 26 minutes for Toronto. Terrence Ross added 17 points and five rebounds in the win.

Tony Wroten led the Sixers with 18 points and five assists in 32 minutes. Chris Johnson added 16 points off the bench in the loss.

Toronto improved to 6-1 and now holds sole possession of the Eastern Conference's best record. Philadelphia dropped to 0-7 and is the only team in the East that has yet to win a game.
