CLEVELAND (AP) The Cavaliers say a postgame handshake between All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love were miming imaginary mustaches and didn't include them pretending to smoke a marijuana joint.

Following Monday's win over New Orleans, TV cameras captured Irving and Love doing a choreographed handshake, which ended with the two players bringing their right hands to the corner of their mouths with thumbs and index fingers together. Some fans reacted on social media and blogs by saying they were imitating smoking a joint.

The Cavs sent out an email to clarify the gesture, saying Love and Irving are ''quickly sharpening the end of an imaginary mustache at the end of their exchange with each other. It has nothing to do with smoking a joint.''

Irving and Love both have real mustaches and beards.

Irving scored 32 points and Love added 22 as the Cavs beat the Pelicans 118-111 to improve to 3-3.
