The Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in Memphis Grizzlies forward Tayshaun Prince, reports ESPN's Brian Windhorst

Prince has played in nine of the Grizzlies' 18 games this season, making six starts, after starting 76 games for Memphis in 2013-14. The 34-year-old is averaging 6.6 points and 2.7 rebounds this season and has not played since Nov. 26 after falling out of the rotation.

Windhorst also said he expects the Cavaliers to make a trade between Dec. 15 and Jan. 10, with their trade exception included. Prince is owed $7.7 million this season, making him too large for Cleveland's $5.3 million trade exception.

The Cavaliers are off to a 10-7 start to the season behind LeBron James, who is averaging 24.6 points, good for fourth in the NBA.

Cleveland plays the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
