Video: Thunder's Russell Westbrook throws down big dunk against Pistons
Thunder All-Star guard Russell Westbrook exploded through traffic for a massive dunk during Oklahoma City's 96-94 road victory on Sunday.
With a little under seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and Oklahoma City leading 84-78, Westbrook corralled a defensive rebound and pushed the ball up the court. Rather than stop the ball, Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope kept backpedaling, allowing Westbrook enough time and space to get up a full head of steam as he approached the paint. Westbrook used a quick hesitation move to blow by Caldwell-Pope and uncorked a powerful one-handed slam after slicing through a seam in Detroit's defense. Josh Smith took a step over to help, but he never had a chance.
Westbrook, playing in just his sixth game this season after missing time with a hand injury, celebrated his dunk with a high-step and some extended screaming. He finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Kevin Durant led the Thunder with a game-high 28 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Caldwell-Pope finished with a team-high 19 points, five assists and three rebounds. Andre Drummond added 16 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
Oklahoma City improved to 7-13. Detroit fell to 3-18.
