Report: 76ers to acquire, waive Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko
The Philadelphia 76ers will acquire forward Andrei Kirilenko from the Brooklyn Nets, reports Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 76ers will also acquire a 2020 second-round pick, the right to swap 2018 second-round picks with the Nets and cash, and will also likely acquire guard Jorge Gutierrez. Brooklyn will receive second-year forward Brandon Davies.
According to the report, Kirilenko will be waived by Philadelphia once he is acquired, thus becoming a free agent.
Kirilenko has been at the center of trade speculation since last month, when he didn't travel with the Nets on a road trip due to "personal reasons." The forward fell out of favor with first-year Brooklyn coach Lionel Hollins and hasn't played since Nov. 13.

Later in November, it was reported that a potential trade was being held up by a family issue Kirilenko was having, since any potential trade partner wouldn't be able to use the forward until his issue was resolved. The 76ers, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, were reported at the time as being interested in Kirilenko.
Kirilenko returned to Nets practice at the beginning of this month but hasn't been traveling with the team due to his family issue, which he said likely won't change until February. Because of that, Kirilenko may not sign with a team upon being waived for several weeks or months, according to Wojnarowski.
Kirilenko, 33, is in the second year of a two-year, $6.5 million deal. He averaged five points in 45 games with the Nets last season. Kirilenko has made one All-Star team and one All-NBA Defensive Team in his 13-year career.

Davies signed with the 76ers last October after going undrafted out of BYU. He's averaging 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game this season and made six starts for Philadelphia.
The 76ers are 2-19 this season and in last place in the Atlantic Division. The Nets are 8-11 and in second place in the Atlantic.
