Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant will not play in team's Christmas Day contest against the San Antonio Spurs, according to multiple media outlets.

Durant will miss his fourth straight game with a sprinted right ankle. Durant, the league's reigning Most Valuable Player, also missed 17 games earlier in the season after recovering from a foot injury.

Durant was injured in last Thursday's loss to the Golden State Warriors after stepping on Warriors forward Marreese Speights' foot. Durant is averaging 22.4 points, five rebounds and 3.6 assists in nine games and the Thunder are 6-14 without Durant in the lineup this season.

The Thunder (13-16) come into the game on a two-game losing streak. San Antonio (18-11) has lost four of its last five games.
