CLEVELAND (AP) Cavaliers All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving will miss his second straight game because of a bruised left knee.

Irving did not suit up Sunday against Detroit.

Irving injured his knee on Dec. 11 against Oklahoma City. He aggravated it in a loss to Miami on Thursday and didn't play the following night against Orlando after experiencing tightness in warmups.

Cleveland coach David Blatt said Irving's knee was still sore, which led to the decision to hold him out again. Blatt hopes Irving will play Tuesday at Atlanta.

Irving briefly left after being injured against the Thunder, but returned and played the next seven games. He aggravated it in the fourth quarter against the Heat.

Irving is averaging 20.2 points and 5.3 assists in 28 games. He's shooting a career-high 47 percent.
