Pelicans' Gordon expects to return from injury, face Wizards

NEW ORLEANS (AP) New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Eric Gordon, who has missed 21 games with a shoulder injury, says he expects to start in Monday night's home game against Washington.

The Pelicans have also announced that Tyreke Evans is ill and that his status for the game is questionable.

The club has officially listed Gordon as probable.

Gordon averaged 9.5 points through the first 12 games this season before going down hard on his left shoulder at Utah on Nov. 22.

Gordon spoke after Monday morning's shootaround and said he's ''ready to go.'' He said he's unsure if the team will limit his minutes.
