Video: Sixers' Nerlens Noel gets game-winning dunk to beat Nets
Philadelphia's season to forget produced a highlight to remember on Friday when rookie center Nerlens Noel threw down a game-winning dunk to beat Brooklyn 90-88.
With the clock winding down under 15 seconds and the score tied at 88, Michael Carter-Williams initiated a possession at the top of the key. The 2014 rookie of the year waited until the clock hit six seconds before driving hard to his right, attracting the attention of three Nets defenders as he approached the protected circle. Meanwhile, Noel worked himself free from Mason Plumlee on the baseline, sneaking underneath the basket to receive a quick dump off pass from Carter-Williams. There was no hesitation, as the long and limber Noel immediately rose up for a strong two-handed dunk before Plumlee could recover.
Brooklyn was unable to score on its ensuing possession and the Sixers escaped to improve to 6-29. Brooklyn is 16-20.
Noel finished with 12 points, five rebounds and two assists. Robert Covington led Philadelphia with a game-high 20 points (on 8-of-12 shooting), seven rebounds and six steals.

Brook Lopez tallied a team-high 18 points and six rebounds for Brooklyn. Plumlee added 15 points and 15 rebounds.
