Hawks guard Thabo Sefolosha out 6-8 weeks with right calf strain
Atlanta Hawks shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha will miss six to eight weeks with a right calf strain, the team announced Saturday.
Sefolosha started Friday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, but left two minutes in with the injury. He was starting in place of forward DeMarre Carroll, who has a left Achilles strain.
In 45 games (seven starts) this season, Sefolosha is averaging 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19 minutes per game.

The eight-year veteran was acquired in a sign-and-trade deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder in July. Sefolosha spent the previous six seasons with the Thunder, becoming a regular starter and making three Western Conference finals, including one NBA Finals appearance in 2011-12.
The Hawks won a franchise-record 19th straight game on Saturday, defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 91-85. In addition to Sefolosha, Carroll and guard Shelvin Mack (left calf strain) also sat out the game.

The Hawks have the NBA's best record at 40-8 and hold the Eastern Conference's top spot by seven games over the Toronto Raptors.
