This one was crafty. With Charlotte leading 102-101 and less than 15 seconds remaining, Hill worked on Brian Roberts at the top of the key. After milking the clock down to about 10 seconds, Hill drove hard to his right and wormed around Cody Zeller, who stepped out to help. Hill kept his dribble alive as he approached the baseline, and he initially looked as if he was heading back out toward the perimeter in the left corner. Once Zeller sagged off him, Hill whirled and tossed in a short floater from just outside the paint near the left block. The shot swished in with 5.1 seconds remaining.

Roberts' desperation heave at the buzzer was no good, allowing the Pacers to escape with the one-point victory. Hill's game-winner nixed a potential game-winning three-pointer by Marvin Williams on the Hornets' previous possession.

Hill finished with 11 points and three assists. C.J. Watson scored a team-high 22 points and added three assists off the bench.

Al Jefferson led all scorers with 30 points and added 13 rebounds in a losing effort. Roberts finished with 19 points and five assists.
