Duke freshman Jahlil Okafor said he "totally" feels comfortable with staying in college, according to a report from Steve Greenberg of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Okafor, a 6'11'' center, is considered the frontrunnner to be selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NBA draft if he declares.
Over 24 games this season, Okafor is averaging 18.0 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
He was recently named to the 20-man watch list for the Wooden Award, which is given to the nation's top player.
The website DraftExpress lists Okafor at No. 1 in its 2015 mock draft. Ohio State guard D'Angelo Russell is listed at No. 2 and point guard Emmanuel Mudiay is listed at No. 3.
From the Sun-Times:
"I know I’ll be in position to live my dream in the NBA or live my dream and stay here at Duke with people who truly love me,' Okafor said. "I totally feel comfortable with staying here in college, and my family wouldn’t care one bit as long as I’m happy. They know how much I love being here.
"I love everything about Duke. I wish I could just stop time and be able to enjoy this as much as I can."
Duke (21-3) will play at Syracuse on Saturday.
