Chris Bosh addressed Miami Heat fans prior to Monday night's loss to the Boston Celtics at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Bosh, 31, will miss the remainder of the season while undergoing treatment for blood clots on his lung.

The Heat announced on Monday that he is scheduled to resume basketball activities in September.

"First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you for all the love, all the support that you have given me and my family," Bosh said. "I truly am standing here because of you guys. And although this is not the situation that I want to be in, I'm happy to be right here where I belong with you all.

"So, thank you for everything, and everything that you have done for me -- I am forever grateful for that. So, we need your support in this push for the playoffs, every night. We're going to put out our best effort for you guys, and we hope that you do the same in return for us. So, thank you, and go Heat."
