Battery charges against Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin have been dropped, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

The case stemmed from an October incident at Las Vegas nightclub, where Griffin allegedly slapped a man, Daniel Schuman, in the face. Schuman told police Griffin grabbed him after he took a photo of Griffin with his phone.

Griffin was not arrested and the alleged victim did not seek hospital treatment for any injuries.

Schuman could still file a civil lawsuit against Griffin.

Griffin sat out nearly five weeks this season due to elbow surgery following a staph infection. In his five games since returning to the team on March 15, he has averaged nearly 17 points per game.
