Celtics' Jared Sullinger returns from broken foot

BOSTON (AP) Celtics forward Jared Sullinger is ready to play after a speedy recovery from a broken bone in his left foot.

The team says he is available for Friday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Celtics had announced on Feb. 22 that Sullinger would miss the rest of the season.

Sullinger leads Boston with 14.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Since being sidelined with a metatarsal stress fracture, the Celtics have climbed into the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge says Sullinger was ''extremely diligent in his rehab'' and is intent on helping the team reach the postseason. Ainge adds that Sullinger will be available in a ''limited role'' this weekend as he works his way back.
