Millsap was injured in the second quarter of Atlanta’s 131-99 victory over the Nets on Saturday after colliding with Brooklyn forward Earl Clark while going for a loose ball. He left the game after playing 17 minutes, scoring eight points with five assists and three rebounds, and did not return.

The victory over the Nets was the Hawks’ 57th of the season, setting a new single-season record.

NBA playoff race: Projected matchups

Millsap, 30, is averaging 16.8 points, 7.8 assists and three assists in 72 games this season for Atlanta, which has already wrapped up the Eastern Conference’s best record and home-court advantage throughout the East playoffs.
