Agent says Warriors G Klay Thompson does not have concussion
The agent of Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompsontold USA Today that Thompson does not have a concussion.
Thompson was kneed in the head by the Houston Rockets' Trevor Ariza during Game 5 of the Western Conference finals. After the game, the Warriors announced that the guard began experiencing “concussion-like symptoms” following the win.
On Thursday, Thompson underwent further testing that resulted in the team calling the injury a contusion, according to USA Today.
"My understanding is that it was negative," his agent, Bill Duffy, told USA Today. "There were no issues."
Duffy said he has "absolutely no problems" with how the Warriors handled Thompson.

"I think Klay was communicated with," he told USA Today. "There was no pressure whatsoever. It's absolute that this was handled the right way, with communication between the team and us, so I see no issue whatsoever, or no need for scrutiny. ... To me, it's a non-issue as to how it was handled."
Thompson must pass NBA concussion protocol in order to be cleared to play again.
The NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers begin on June 4.
