John Calipari was joined onstage by 64 of his former players during his Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame induction on Friday night.

Calipari gave most of the credit behind his success to his players.

“The reason I stand here is more about the players I've coached,” Calipari said. “I never grabbed a rebound, I never scored a point, I never had an assist.”

Calipari has coached Kentucky to four Final Four appearances in the last five years and won the 2012 national championship. He also took UMass and Memphis to Final Fours, but both appearances (in 1996 and 2008) were later vacated. The Wildcats lost to Wisconsin in last year's Final Four, ending their bid for an undefeated 40–0 season. Calipari officially has 593 wins with 190 of those while at Kentucky.
