Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry denied a report that he might need to undergo shoulder surgery in the off–season.

When asked about the story published by the Los Angeles Daily News, Curry said that he was on the verge of laughing.

“I can’t even keep a straight face,” Curry said. “Whoever said I was getting shoulder surgery and all that kind of stuff—we’ve got bumps and bruises but we’ll be all right.”

Curry missed time in the first two rounds of this postseason due to ankle and knee issues.

The report in the Daily News cited an unnamed source that said Curry visited with a Southern California orthopedist who believed an MRI exam showed the need for surgery on the shoulder.

Warriors’ Draymond Green suspended for Game 5

Curry has averaged 25.3 points and 5.7 assists so far this postseason.
