Reports: Lance Thomas agrees to four-year deal to remain with Knicks

Free-agent forward Lance Thomas has agreed to a four-year deal with the Knicks, according to multiple reports. Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com first reported the news.
Thomas’s starting salary is $6.1 million and rises by 7.5% over each year of the deal, ESPN’s Ian Begley reports.
Thomas, who is praised mostly for his defensive ability, averaged 8.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game last season. He has also improved his three-point shooting since arriving in New York, shooting 40.4% last season on 109 attempts after attempting just 23 threes in his first four NBA seasons.

Thomas, 28, was acquired by the Knicks from the Thunder in January 2015 as part of the trade that sent J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Cavaliers.
