Kevin Durant received a standing ovation in front of his new home fans.
Playing in front of his new home fans for the first time, Kevin Durant received a hero’s welcome.
Playing for Team USA in an Olympic tune-up against China, Durant was welcomed at Oracle Arena—the Warriors’ regular-season home—with a standing ovation. There were already plenty of Durant jerseys in the crowd, as well as the normal mix of other Warriors stars.
Durant signed with Golden State earlier this month after nine seasons with the Thunder. The four-time scoring champion and former MVP agreed to a two-year deal with the club, with a player option for next season.
