Watch: Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki Trade Jerseys

Wade scored 22 points and Nowitzki dropped 12 in their meeting this season.

Retiring NBA superstars Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki traded jerseys after Wednesday night's game between the Heat and Mavericks.

Miami won 112–101 inside American Airlines Center in Dallas. Wade scored a game-high 22 points. Nowitzki tallied 12 points.

The two have had a long history together, facing off in the 2006 and 2011 NBA Finals. Wade and the Heat won in 2006, while Nowitzki came out victorius five years later.

Nowitzki reflected on their relationship on Tuesday and discussed the "frosty" tone over a decade ago.

"Like I've said, after, '06, we had some frosty times, but I think that's way behind us," Nowitzki told ESPN's Tim MacMahaon. "I always say he pushed me to the player in '11 to ultimately win."

Both will play in the All-Star game. Wade will suit up for Team LeBron while Nowitzki will play for Team Giannis.

The pair will face off once more in March before the two retire at the end of the season.
