LeBron James Has Extremely Clear Response to Questions About Dillon Brooks’s Comments

After the Grizzlies Game 2 win over the Lakers on Wednesday, forward Dillon Brooks doubled down on not being scared of facing LeBron James. Brooks said that he isn’t afraid to guard the four-time NBA champion because of his age.

“I don’t care, he’s old,” Brooks said. ”I poke bears. I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40.”

On Friday, a day before the two sides face off in Los Angeles, James was asked if he had any response to Brooks’s trash talk, and the veteran had a very simple answer.

“No,” he said, via The Athletic’s Jovan Buha. “The game is won in between the four lines. Always has. Always will be.”

After more questions about Brooks, James then abruptly ended his media availability.

“I don’t want to talk about this more,” he said. “Tomorrow’s gonna be a great game, I’m not here for bulls---, I’m ready to play and that’s it.”

In two games this series, James scored 21 and 28 points, as the Lakers and Grizzlies split two games in Memphis. With the series tied, and Brooks adding some more juice, Game 3 in Los Angeles has a chance to bring about some extra motivation from both sides.
