NBA Announces Team Representatives for 2023 Draft Lottery

The NBA unveiled on Monday the list of 14 team representatives set to appear on stage Tuesday for the anticipated 2023 NBA Draft lottery.

Since its inception in 1985, the draft lottery has featured a host of distinguished team reps who entered the night hoping to bring their team a little luck in the draw for the No. 1 overall pick. The 2023 draft centers around the futures of highly-touted French big man Victor Wembanyama and star NBA G League Ignite guard Scoot Henderson, the consensus top-two picks in this year’s class.

The draft lottery will emanate from the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, where the Pistons, Rockets and Spurs sit with the best odds at winning the Wembanyama sweepstakes at 14%. Rounding out the order will be the Hornets (12.5%) and Trailblazers (10.5%), followed by the Magic, Pacers, Wizards, Jazz, Mavericks, Bulls, Thunder, Raptors and Pelicans.

Among the team reps set to appear include several current and former NBA players, including Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton, Pistons legend and NBA Hall of Famer Ben Wallace and retired Blazers star Brandon Roy. A host of coaches are also listed on the slate including recently-hired Ime Udoka of the Rockets and Jamahl Mosley of the Magic, who selected rookie of the year Paolo Banchero after winning the 2022 lottery.
