Suns’ Big Three Suffers Another Setback With Bradley Beal Out Multiple Weeks, per Report

Suns star Bradley Beal’s up-and-down season reportedly added another setback on Saturday, with the guard, again, set to miss multiple games due to injury.

Beal, 30, will “likely to miss a few weeks” after sustaining a right ankle injury early in Friday’s game against the Knicks, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Beal’s scary injury occurred in the first quarter in New York when the three-time All-Star landed on Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo’s heel while attempting a shot. Beal played just over four minutes and logged six points and a rebound prior to his abrupt exit.

The Suns’s loss to the Knicks marked the second game with the team’s Big Three of Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker in the lineup. The much-debated trio made its awaited debut in Wednesday’s loss to the Nets, and combined for 77 points on 24-of-42 shooting.

With Beal likely headed for an extended absence, the 12-year veteran will face his latest hurdle, and more questions about his fit with Durant and Booker, in what’s been a trying first season in Phoenix.

Acquired in a blockbuster trade in June, Beal, after 11 seasons with the Wizards, has struggled to the tune of 14.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in six games after missing 19 total games with a back injury.
