76ers’ James Harden Remains on Injury Report vs. Nuggets

James Harden could miss Monday's game against the Nuggets.

The Philadelphia 76ers are still working on getting fully healthy as they prepare for a matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.

For the last few games, the Sixers have missed multiple players. Their most notable absence has been the ten-time All-Star guard James Harden.

Following a loss against the Houston Rockets last Monday night, James Harden was dealing with Achilles soreness. The pain led Harden to be added to the injury report as questionable in the rematch against the Bulls.

Although the Sixers left the door open for Harden to play, he was ruled out beforehand. Harden remained on the trip with his team but didn’t get back out on the floor quite yet.

On Friday, when the Sixers faced the Golden State Warriors, Harden was questionable for the second-straight game. Once again, he was ruled out beforehand. The trend continued on Saturday as the Sixers faced the Phoenix Suns.

At this point, Harden has missed four of the Sixers’ last five outings. When they take on the Denver Nuggets Monday night, Harden could be absent for a fourth-straight matchup.

Per the Sixers’ injury report, Harden is once again questionable for the matchup. When asked about Harden’s status following Saturday night’s matchup against the Suns, Doc Rivers claimed he was “hoping” Harden would play. However, Rivers made it clear that his guess is as good as anybody else’s.

After getting a day off on Sunday, the Sixers will benefit from some rest. Perhaps, the extra day will help Harden get one step closer to returning to the floor for the Sixers, as his playmaking skillset has surely been missed these last few games.
