76ers Rival Bucks Snag Jae Crowder From Nets

In this story:
The Jae Crowder sweepstakes have reached the finish line. After the Phoenix Suns moved Crowder to the Brooklyn Nets in the early morning blockbuster deal that landed them Kevin Durant, it became clear that Crowder wasn’t guaranteed to stay in New York.
That turns out to indeed be the case. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Nets will flip Crowder to the Milwaukee Bucks. In a three-team deal, the Bucks will give up five second-round picks and Jordan Nwora, who will land with the Indiana Pacers. Along with Nwora, Indiana will also receive two of those picks, with the rest headed to Brooklyn, per Charania.
With the Bucks landing Crowder, there goes one less potential late-season addition for the Philadelphia 76ers. While the Sixers weren’t showing much interest in Crowder throughout the season, he could’ve been a last resort if the Sixers failed to land any of their other targets to fill in the minutes behind Joel Embiid.
As for Milwaukee, they get a productive veteran with playoff experience in Crowder. Last season, Crowder started in 67 games for the Phoenix Suns. He averaged nine points and five rebounds while knocking down 35 percent of his threes.
When it comes to the postseason, Crowder’s appeared in 107 playoff games. Over the stretch of nine postseason runs, Crowder’s averaged 11 points, five rebounds, and one block while draining 40 percent of his shots and 34 percent of his threes.
Sitting at 37-17 on the year, placed second in the Eastern Conference, the Bucks have proven to be contenders once again. As they heat up amid an eight-game win streak, Milwaukee will only get stronger as they add a veteran in Crowder.

More on Sixers Trade Deadline
Centers Sixers Should Consider
With the struggles of Montrezl Harrell and Paul Reed behind Joel Embiid, the Sixers have been on the hunt to add another prospect to throw into the rotation. Here’s a look at six centers that make sense for Philadelphia, based on intel from around the league.
One name that’s been consistently thrown in trade rumors for the Sixers consistently is Matisse Thybulle. The defensive standout was rumored to have multiple teams interested in services. As he navigates through another deadline, Tobias Harris revealed his message to the young veteran on Wednesday.
No Noise Until After the Deadline
Sixers sharpshooter Georges Niang might not be a name thrown in rumors for the Sixers, but even if he was, he wouldn’t pay attention. Niang discussed his past memories of playing through the trade deadline, and made it clear that he does all he can to avoid hearing all of the outside noise.
