Sunday marks the final matchup of the regular season for the Philadelphia 76ers. They’ll go toe-to-toe with their 2023 NBA Playoffs first-round opponent, the Brooklyn Nets.

Don’t expect Sunday’s matchup to be a preview of what’s to come in the postseason. As the Nets and the Sixers want to remain as healthy as possible going into the playoffs, both teams have loaded up their injury reports.

For the Sixers, their entire starting five has already been ruled out. Beyond that, the key reserve De’Anthony Melton will also get the night off, with the forward Georges Niang questionable to play.

As for the Nets, they’ve listed five players out already, with four on the report considered questionable. Neither team wants to risk its health going into the playoffs, and they surely don’t want to show their cards before the series.

It won’t be a typical Nets-Sixers battle on Sunday, but if it’s anything like Philly’s Friday night matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, it could be an entertaining battle of low-minute prospects.
