76ers vs. Nuggets: Did Embiid, Harden Take Part in Shootaround?

In this story:
The Philadelphia 76ers are set to continue their schedule on Monday night with a game against the Denver Nuggets. The matchup marks the final game on the Sixers’ current road trip out West.
Going into the game, the Sixers have quite a few key names on the injury report. Among those listed are the team’s two stars, Joel Embiid and James Harden.
Lately, Harden’s missed a few games as he deals with Achilles soreness. As Harden was hurting during last Monday’s double-overtime loss against the Chicago Bulls, he was added to the injury report for the rematch last Wednesday night.
Harden missed his second matchup in three games last Wednesday. Then he went on to miss the two matchups against the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns. After missing four of the last five games, Harden is once again questionable for Monday’s matchup against Denver.
Joel Embiid joins the ten-time All-Star on the injury report as he deals with calf tightness. Although Embiid missed the entire second half of last Wednesday’s game against the Bulls, Embiid played through the tightness over the last two games.
While a sluggish Saturday night performance in Phoenix prompted Embiid to mention he needs a game off sooner than later, he isn’t totally set on taking the night off on Monday night in Denver as he’s questionable for the game.
According to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Harden was a participant in Monday morning’s shootaround, which is a step in the right direction. As for Embiid, he reportedly participated in “parts” of the shootaround.
Typically, being a participant in a shootaround is a positive sign a player will get the nod to go. While Harden and Embiid remain questionable on the injury report, they seem to be trending in the right direction toward playing on Monday.
