The Philadelphia 76ers knew there was a possibility they could miss a few key players on Friday night against the Golden State Warriors, as they had several players on the injury report leading up to tip-off. However, when the veteran reserve Danuel House Jr. was ruled out, it came as a bit of a shock.

Names such as James Harden, Joel Embiid, and Jalen McDaniels were listed as questionable on the injury report as early as Thursday night. When Sixers head coach Doc Rivers addressed the media for his pregame press conference, Rivers mentioned he expected Embiid to play through calf tightness.

Meanwhile, Harden and McDaniels were guaranteed to miss their second-straight game. Harden’s been dealing with Achilles soreness, which started on Monday night. On the other hand, McDaniels has been battling hip soreness for the last couple of weeks.

Danuel House was scratched out of the lineup late leading up to Friday’s game, joining Harden and McDaniels. According to the Sixers’ injury report, House was ruled out with shoulder soreness.

What’s the Latest on House?

House’s recent setback started on Friday morning, following the Sixers’ shootaround. According to Gina Mizell of The Philadelphia Inquirer, House was bothered by how his shoulder felt after the session.

While House reportedly iced his shoulder after the session, hoping to play as planned, the Sixers changed course not long before tipping off.

With just a couple of weeks left in the regular season, the Sixers are approaching every game with caution when it comes to injuries. Since the Sixers already have a spot in the playoffs locked in, staying healthy is key for the championship hopefuls.
