Celtics Down Key Big Man Against Joel Embiid, 76ers

In this story:
Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Boston Celtics Tuesday night. Entering the matchup, the Celtics are missing a key piece to their frontcourt, as Robert Williams has been ruled out for the night.
According to the Celtics’ injury report, Williams is out due to left knee injury management.
For the first 29 games of the 2022-2023 NBA season, Williams missed time as he recovered from surgery. When he made his debut on December 16, Williams played in three-straight matchups before he got his first break.
Since debuting this year, Williams has played in 33 games. Last month, he missed eight-straight games before returning for a five-game stretch. When the Celtics took on the Utah Jazz on March 31, Williams got the night off.
He’ll get a second-straight game off when the Sixers and the Celtics battle it out. At this point in the year, the Celtics are headed for the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
Considering Boston is guaranteed to lock up a playoff spot, the team is remaining cautious with some key players to ensure they are healthy before the postseason run.
