The Philadelphia 76ers have an opportunity to clinch the third seed in the Eastern Conference on Wednesday night. Although the Sixers aren’t scheduled for a matchup, another Eastern Conference battle on Wednesday will impact the Sixers.

According to the NBA, a Boston Celtics victory on Wednesday would officially allow the Celtics to clinch the Atlantic Division title. Therefore, a Celtics victory officially means the Sixers are locked into the third seed in the East, trailing the Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the event the Celtics win and the Milwaukee Bucks defeat the Chicago Bulls, the top three seeds will be locked in, with the Bucks garnering No. 1 while the Celtics sit at No. 2.

What’re the Odds?

According to SI Sportsbook, the Celtics are favored over the Raptors with a 2.5-point spread going into Wednesday night’s game.

This season, the Celtics have found plenty of success against the Raptors. In the first two outings, the Celtics defeated Toronto both times, with a point differential of eight points.

As for the Bucks-Bulls matchup, Milwaukee is slightly favored at 2.5. In three outings this year, the Bulls won twice. In the most recent matchup back in February, Chicago suffered a 12-point loss.

If the favorites win over their opponents on Wednesday, then the Sixers will be glued to the third seed this season, with the Celtics and the Bucks keeping the top two spots.
