When the Philadelphia 76ers face the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night, their sophomore reserve Jaden Springer won’t be suited up and on the bench.

According to a team official, Springer has been assigned to the Sixers’ NBA G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, on Saturday night.

As the Blue Coats traveled to Long Island, where they’ll face the Brooklyn Nets’ affiliate for the G League’s Eastern Conference Finals, Delaware will roll out a starting five involving Springer.

All season long, Springer has split time between the Sixers and the G League. As most of Springer’s limited time with the 76ers comes during garbage time, the team wants to ensure he has opportunities to play and further develop his game.

This season, Springer started and appeared in 24 games for the Blue Coats. He averaged 19 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals per game.

When the Blue Coats faced the Washington Wizards’ affiliate, Capital City Go-Go, on Thursday, Springer started in his fifth G League postseason appearance. He led Delaware in scoring by putting up 24 points in 41 minutes over the win against Capital City.

On Sunday, Springer and the Coats will tip off against the Long Island Nets at 8 PM ET.
