Philly sports had a solid two days. On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles came out of their bye week with a tough matchup at home against the Buffalo Bills.

Despite the bad weather and the two-possession deficit in the first half, the Eagles fought back in a matchup that required overtime to settle the outcome. The outcome ended in their favor, as they advanced to 10-1 on the year.

On Monday night, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and several members of the defending NFC Champions went across the street to the Wells Fargo Center to watch the Philadelphia 76ers battle it out against the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time this season.

Also thriving in their young season, the Sixers looked to collect their 12th win on Monday. Coming off of an impressive win against a young and thriving Oklahoma City Thunder team on the road over the weekend, the Sixers hosted LeBron James and the 10-7 Lakers.

During a matchup where LeBron made history by playing the most minutes in the NBA around his nine-minute mark, the Sixers spoiled the King’s big night.

A dominant first-quarter showing gave the Sixers a 15-point lead. Once Philly got out in front, they never looked back. Going into the fourth quarter of the matchup, the Sixers were in total control with an 18-point lead over the Lakers.

Both teams started trotting out some of their reserves to wrap up the matchup, the 76ers’ bench unloaded more offensive dominance against the Lakers, putting together a 40-14 quarter. With that, the Sixers put the Lakers away with a 138-94 victory.

The Sixers fired up the new week, sitting at 12-5. Like the Eagles, they remain one of the most successful teams through the regular season so far. The 76ers will look to keep the ball rolling on Wednesday when they face the New Orleans Pelicans on the road.

Meanwhile, the Eagles will return to the practice field on Tuesday to begin gearing up for the San Francisco 49ers this upcoming weekend.
