Joel Embiid’s Instagram Post After Dominant Showing vs. Celtics

In this story:
On a personal note, Joel Embiid had to feel good about the performance he put on display Tuesday night. With the Boston Celtics in town, the Sixers had their backs against the wall in the regular season series, as they’ve come up short against the Celtics three times before.
Tuesday’s game was the final chance the Sixers had to avoid a sweep. It wasn’t the best all-around team effort for the Sixers, but Embiid once again proved why he’s in the MVP discussion.
After the game, Embiid posted to Instagram to let everybody know that he believes his team is “on the right path” after taking down the defending Eastern Conference Champions 103-101.

Embiid nearly scored half of his team’s points on Tuesday night. During a 38-minute shift, the big man drilled 20 shots and 12 free throws to account for 52 points.
For the third time this year, Embiid scored over 50 points.
While the big man did mention he felt slightly disappointed in the Sixers’ struggles to put away an undermanned Celtics team when they had several chances, the big man still feels good about getting a notable win before the Sixers embark on a playoff run in the coming weeks.
