Monday night's matchup was more than just a regular season game for Philadelphia 76ers guard Patrick Beverley. For him, it was a chance to stick it to the team that traded him at the deadline last season.

Beverley made the most of his opportunity against the Lakers, having arguably his best game of the season. He notched 12 points and six rebounds, along with connecting on four threes.

After the game, Beverley singled out Lakers guard Austin Reaves on social media. On Tuesday, he doubled down on their beef during an episode of his podcast.

There was a moment that happened last season that Beverley will never forget. When he played against the Lakers as a member of the Chicago Bulls, Reaves hit him with the "too small" celebration. After that, a fire was lit inside him that may never go out.

On his podcast, Beverley opened up on how badly he wanted to go at Reaves on Monday. Revenge was on his mind as he got another opportunity to match up with the Lakers' guard.

"I didn't want to guard anyone else but Austin Reaves last night. How dare you come in Chicago, in my hood, and hit me with the too little, and don't think I'm gonna come for your neck," Beverley said. "From now on I'm picking his a** up 94 feet. It's nothing personal, it's just business."

Beverley ended with a proclamation that he plans on being this way against any team Reaves is on until he retires. "Every time I see the Lakers until I retire. Whatever team Austin Reaves is on, I'm on his a**," he said.

As a native of Chicago, Beverley took great offense to having that move done to him as a member of the Bulls. Because of that one quick moment, Beverley has made it his mission to haunt Reaves from here on out.
