Star Player Listed on 76ers vs. Bulls Injury Report

Following their blowout victory over the Charlotte Hornets Saturday, the Philadelphia 76ers return home to host the Bulls. Looking at the injury report, Chicago will be without one of their star players.

Zach LaVine has been one of the most talked about players this season following reports of him being open to a trade. Along with the two sides debating on ending their partnership, the All-Star guard has been out of action.

LaVine has been tied to the Sixers in rumors but will not get to play against them. He is listed as out due to a right foot injury. The last time LaVine suited up for the Bulls was November 28th against the Boston Celtics.

Before getting injured, LaVine's production was slightly lower than in recent seasons. In 18 games, he averaged 21.0 PPG and 3.4 APG while shooting 33.6% from beyond the arc.

Chicago had a rough start to the year but has managed to turn things around some. Over their last eight games, they have a record of 5-3. Despite this stretch, they still sit in 12th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 10-17.

This matchup could have been an opportunity for LaVine to showcase his value to a team like the Sixers. While they've been connected to him in rumors, it doesn't appear their pursuit is that strong. When NBA insider Shams Charania last reported on the subject, he cited that the Sixers' front office is continuing to be patient leading up to the February 8th trade deadline.

"The Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers are expected suitors for LaVine, but both are operating from positions of patience and due diligence," Shams wrote. "And now, as the Bulls have found thier stride over the past week and are just one game out of Play-In Tournament spot, teams will continue to monitor their approach with LaVine and DeMar DeRozan."
