GAME DAY PREVIEW AND INJURY REPORT: The Milwaukee Bucks look to get back on track, face the Detroit Pistons
Two teams that are poles apart in the team standings collide as the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
The Bucks are playing the second contest of a three-game road trip. The Bucks and the Pistons are playing each other twice in three days as they will also clash on Monday, also at the Little Caesars Arena.
Contrasting seasons
The two squads are having opposite campaigns this season. The Bucks are in the No. 1 spot in the Central Division and second in the entire Eastern Conference with a 28-13 record. The Pistons are last in the Central Division and East, with a woeful 4-37 slate.
The Bucks have won their first two meetings with the Pistons this season. Milwaukee prevailed in their first encounter on November 8th, 120-118, and won anew on December 16th, 146-114.
Milwaukee is looking to rebound from a blowout loss as it lost badly to the Cleveland Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, 95-135. Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t suit up for the Bucks in the loss due to a bruised right shoulder.
The Pistons are also coming off a loss as they yielded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night, 117-124. Detroit has actually lost its last four games at home.
Injury report
Antetokounmpo is listed as probable for the Bucks. Last Wednesday was only the second time this season that the Greek Freak sat out. The Bucks have gone 1-1 in the two games Giannis didn’t play.
The Pistons will be without Isaiah Stewart (ankle), Cade Cunningham (knee), Malcolm Cazalon (ankle), and Monte Morris (quadriceps).
